So that is it, training is all over (wahoo!) went out for a quick spin on the bike yesterday to make sure it was in full working order after its service. Was going to go for a quick swim today but really can’t be bothered – spent most of the day faffing about shopping for last minute things and packing.
Everything is now under control, just need to throw everything into the car then set off Friday morning. I am taking more stuff for Saturday than I took to the Dominican Republic for a fortnight – still it will all be used and all has a purpose.
Just looked back over the year since we started proper training on January 1st and I have covered the following distances:
Swim: 40 miles
Bike: 1270 miles
Run: 400 miles
Just a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a marathon to run then I can have a rest for a week or two!
